So, how can an Enneagram Type 4 tackle a PCS? By using these 5 tips and the tools attached to this blog, you're sure to have a successful move!
Tip #1: Say daily affirmations. Type fours are more prone to negative self-talk, and its important that you speak positively to yourself and about yourself. Focus your mind on the positive and it'll improve your mindset during this busy time of your life.
Tip #2: Look at yourself from someone else's point of view. Your feelings towards this PCS are valid, but your emotions are only a part of you. By viewing yourself from someone else's perspective, you're getting an objective look at your positive traits and great accomplishments thus far.
Tip #3: Consider similar traits you have to those around you. You likely have spent time focusing on how different you are from your family during this PCS season. However, you're all going through this together. So, look for ways to connect with them and do those things. This will deepen your bond and alleviate some of the stress you're facing.
Tip #4: It's not a race, start small. Don't focus on trying to accomplish everything for your PCS all at once. Break them into steps that are achievable.
Tip #5: Be open to feedback from your family—positive or negative. Those unique packing ideas you have, well, they may not be the most cost-friendly or efficient. Listen to what your family has to say and see if there are other ways to do things for your PCS. There are important things to be learned from taking feedback.
Your PCS toolkit consists of a monthly goal planner, a weekly goal planner, a self care tracker, and vision board. These planning tools are important for an Individualist because they will help you understand and explain what you need and want to get done for your PCS. Your vision board and self care tracker are crucial for you focusing on positive-self talk, and taking time for the things you want and need.
